Leeds continues to reap the rewards
“Last week, we welcomed Amanda Pritchard, Chief Executive of NHS England, and Phil Wood to the Cath labs as part of Amanda’s visit to LTHT. During the visit Dr Andrew Hogarth, Consultant Cardiologist and Lead Clinician, and Christine Gill, Senior Sister Cath Labs, shared the improvement work that has taken place in recent months which resulted in a reduction to delays to Cath lab start times and improved case turnaround times. Dr Hogarth and Christine demonstrated how the Leeds Improvement method, along with collaborative working with the management team and external stakeholders led to sustained efficiencies. Amanda was impressed with how the team use Care Cube (scheduling software) to monitor and report on the lab metrics as well as sharing the lab utilisation and performance data with the team. “
